2024 Ford Expedition Timberline Redesign – Additional exterior and interior styling and new features and options are all part of Ford’s Expedition portfolio for 2024. Ford’s recently updated F-150 pickup truck inspired the design of the interior of the new Ford Edge, which will be unveiled later this year. The Expedition’s interior grade improves thanks to better materials, and its infotainment system is revamped with a new standard 12.0-inch touchscreen or an even more significant, optional, portrait-oriented 15.5-inch touchscreen. Ford has also made its BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system available on the Platinum model.
The new Timberline model features 33-inch all-terrain tires and a higher ride height to give it a rugged appearance. A new Stealth Performance package is open on the Limited trim and delivers a more sinister design, a sport-tuned suspension, and a more powerful version of the twin-turbo V-6. We think the middle-of-the-road Limited trim level on the regular-wheelbase Expedition is the one to get. Along with the leather seats, Bang & Olufsen sound system, and power-operated running boards that come standard, an excellent performance option should make driving the big rig more fun.

The general shape of a full-size SUV can only be changed so much. Designers must rely on the grille, headlights, fenders, and taillights to give a full-size truck or SUV a distinctive look. The Expedition has a slab-sided design with only one stylistic line joining its sides’ front and rear lights. At the back, there are generic taillights and a chrome strip that bears the Expedition brand.
Ford focuses heavily on the front end and the alloys for its design. The grille and headlights blend perfectly to provide an imposing presence. Halogen headlights are standard on base models, but King Ranch and Platinum trims get full LEDs. Larger 22-inch wheels are available with diameters ranging from 18 inches to 24 inches. A panoramic sunroof is an option starting with the XLT trim (and is standard on King Ranch and Platinum models), while black roof-rack side rails are formal beginning with the XLT trim and are replaced with stone-gray or bright chrome on higher-tier iterations.
The 15.5-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen from the Ford Mustang Mach-e is projected to be an option for the interior of the 2024 Ford Expedition. We may expect to see a new look for the interior of the Ford Expedition, but we can also expect to see the same features on each trim level remain the same as before. With the suitable options, the Ford Expedition can accommodate up to eight people, depending on the model level.
You’ll find features like heated power-adjustable seats, tri-zone climate control, and leather upholstery with distinctive stitching as you move up the trims. Power-adjustable front seats, cloth upholstery, and tri-zone climate control come standard on the base model. All three rows of the Ford Expedition’s interior have the most significant amount of room, with the second and third rows offering the largest capacity, respectively. If all three rows are used, the 2024 Expedition will have a total cargo capacity of 20.9 cu. ft.
The Expedition’s rear- or all-wheel-drive systems are powered by a dual turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine and a 10-speed automated transmission. The limited versions have 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque compared to the primary machine. 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque are available on the Timberline grade and the Limited with the Stealth Performance option. But we’ve already tested a Platinum version with a 400-horsepower twin-turbo V-6.
All Expeditions have an independent rear suspension that delivers better ride and handling than the live-axle configurations on Chevrolet and GMC rivals. While the ride is pleasant for passengers, its unwieldy handling and sluggish steering make it challenging to control. A 9300-pound capacity for the Expedition and a 9000-pound capacity for the Expedition Max are available.
The release date and price of the 2024 Ford Expedition
It has been replaced by the XL STX, which has an MSRP of $50,595 and is better equipped than the preceding fleet-spec XL. Starting at $53,410, the XLT trim level rises to $62,175 for the Limited, the most expensive option. The MSRP for the King Ranch is $73,335, which is another significant hike. $74,375 is the sticker price for the top-of-the-line Timberline trim. Ford’s $1,695 delivery fee is not included in these prices. Any model with a 4×4 arrangement will cost an additional $3,050.
