2024 Ford Mustang GT Engine, Price, Specs – The Mustang GT and GT Premium are furnished identically to the EcoBoost trims, except GT vehicles are powered by 5.0 V8 engines rather than the fuel-efficient four-cylinder turbo. A variety of rear axle ratios, wheel configurations, and Recaro sport seats are among the performance options and packages offered. The California Special Package includes 19-inch ebony wheels, ebony suede seat inserts with red stitching, custom door panel inserts, an aluminum dashboard finish, etc.
The Shelby GT350 and GT350R models are special flat-plane crankshafts, allowing the vast V8 engine to rev to over 8,000 rpm. It’s a unique engine that borrows technology from high-end supercars. A larger V8 usually means more torque lower in the rev range but less ability to create power at higher rpm. There are no sacrifices with the Shelby GT350. On the GT350, you can also get standard magnetic shocks, a more aggressive exterior package, and a lot of emblems for the inside.
2024 Ford Mustang GT Redesign
On the outside, the new Mustang GT model retains its famous long-hood proportions and threatening appearance, highlighted by the hood vents. Sequential LED taillights, and full-LED headlights are employed. LEDs are also used for daytime running lights and fog lights. The raised decklid spoiler is also present, but it may be disabled using the spoiler-delete option, or a performance rear wing can be requested instead. A quad exhaust tip and a diffuser complete the look at the back. The stock wheels are 18 inches in diameter, but they can be upgraded to a different 18-inch or a variety of 19-inch options. The GT features custom ‘5.0’ badging on the front wings behind the wheels, and the round Mustang logo at the back gets ‘GT’ instead of the dashing horse.
The GT palette now offers 12 hues, but Ford has changed the available colors for the 2024 model year. Antimatter Blue, Grabber Yellow, Twister Orange, and Velocity Blue were all deleted from the list because they were too loud. Atlas Blue, Cyber Orange ($695), Dark Matter Gray, Eruption Green, Grabber Blue, and Mischievous Purple are the new metallic colors for this year. Shadow Black, Oxford White, Icon Silver Metallic, Race Red, Rapid Red Metallic ($495), Dark Matter Gray Metallic, and Carbonized Gray Metallic are among the other hues that have been kept. A black roof is offered to create a dramatic two-tone design. The optional Black Accent Package makes the top, deck lid, wheels, emblems, grille, mirror caps, and emblems all black.
The cabin style and interiors for the future Mustang will be identical to the existing model, much like the rest of the features. The cabin is large and roomy, with seating for four people. However, the front seats are manually adjustable as standard, but they may be modified to a 6-way and 4-way power driver and passenger seat. The back seat has a 50/50 split-folding bench seat that only seats two people, and the headroom is inadequate. Carrying onto the dashboard, there is a straightforward and clean arrangement with all the controls within easy reach of the front passengers. On the interior, there are enough small buttons to keep the style modest. The front doors have the same appearance as the back doors but hidden armrests on the front side.
Ford has used functional materials such as rigid plastics and machine-finished metal trimmings throughout the cabin, while the steering wheel is upholstered in leather. Two cup holders, an oversized glovebox, modest but adequate storage under the front center armrest, a secret storage compartment to the left of the steering wheel, and a little open space immediately in front of the gear knob are all that are available for storage.
Ford has not announced any powertrain enhancements for the 2024 Mustang; therefore, the existing setup will remain unchanged. The base standard will have a 2.3L EcoBoost machine with 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet torque. With the high-performance package, power is increased to 332 hp, and torque increases. This package includes a larger turbo compressor, a retuned engine, and a larger radiator, making it the most powerful four-cylinder machine installed in a Mustang. The forthcoming muscle car has a 6-speed manual transmission and is rear-wheel drive.
Furthermore, thanks to the standard independent suspension on all four wheels, the muscle car handles nicely, with MagneRide dampers optional to make the ride even smoother and easier to control. Because the engine and powertrain are expected to remain the same, the performance of the 2024 Ford Mustang will be similar. The 2021 Mustang accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 155 miles per hour. In 13.7 seconds, the quarter-mile is finished. The high-performance package will reduce these timestamps even more, although the top speed will remain the same.

In 2024, the base price of a Ford Mustang GT is $37,275 for the manual transmission and $1,595 for the automatic transmission. Choosing the GT Premium instead brings the price to $41,275 for the manual; the mechanical, once again, adds $1,595 to the price. The $4,000 hike adds some much-needed gear worth the money, even if just for the beautiful leather and sound infotainment system. Unless we’re dead set on personalizing the car, we won’t bother with most of the visual upgrades. Instead, we’d upgrade to some more excellent 19- or 20-inch wheels, as the Mustang looks under-wheeled on the stock 18s. Tax, registration, licensing, and the $1,195 destination fee are not included in these MSRP costs.
