2024 Ford Ranger Redesign, Price, Colors

2024 Ford Ranger Redesign, Price, ColorsThe 2024 Ford Ranger mid-size pickup truck comes closest to a Swiss Army knife made in Michigan, lacking a bottle opener or a toothpick. Its pickup truck and off-road accessories upconvert it from a daily driver into an open-sky adventure arsenal. It is available in XL, XLT, and Lariat trims with Splash, Tremor, and FX4 packages. The Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Frontier, and Honda Ridgeline are rivals. The 2024 Ranger receives a TCC Rating of 5.3 out of 10 due primarily to the stripper XL’s absence of features and poor safety ratings.

The Ranger has softer sculpting and rounder corners than a typical pickup truck; compared to the bluff outlines of current F-Series vehicles, it stands apart. The inside sports more painted plastic and gritty black trim than we’ve seen in a while. The Ranger is getting older; a new model with shared running gear from the new Bronco is on the horizon.

Three trim levels and two body types are offered for the Ranger. Ford refers to the crew cab, or 4-door Ford Ranger, as the SuperCrew, while the 2-door extended cab is known as the SuperCab. The four-door crew cab has a five-foot bed, while the extended cab has two doors and a six-foot bed. The entry-level LX sports 16-inch steel wheels, black plastic bumpers, wheel arches, door handles, mirrors, and a grille. Along with 17-inch alloy wheels, the XLT also adds body-color bumpers and wheel arches. The top-tier Lariat has body-color mirrors, a unique grille, LED lighting, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

There are eight colors available for the XL Super Cab base model. They are Shadow Black, Oxford White, Velocity Blue, Hot Pepper Red (needs the STX Appearance package), Carbonized Gray, Cactus Gray (requires the STX Appearance package), and Velocity Red. The eye-catching Cyber Orange is an addition to the mid-range XLT, but access to this color requires an extra box. Hot Pepper Red and Cactus Gray don’t need additional packages at this level. The Lariat and XLT both use the same color scheme.

Interior

The spaciousness and comfortable seats will remain in the 2024 Ford Ranger SuperCrew. The layout will likely stay the same, with a simple dashboard, roomy front seats, and excellent vision. The two tiny half-doors provide a 5-passenger capacity, although seated four passengers will make everyone more comfortable for long rides. Switching the interior’s leather surfaces for actual leather seats is possible. A 110V AC power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a leather-wrapped shifter are just some of the interior goodies the XLT trim will provide as an optional XLT Mid Package. Power-adjustable, heated front seats, remote start, and other features are included in the XLT High Package. Ambient interior lighting and dual-zone climate managing are included as standard equipment in the Lariat trim High Package, which also consists of the Technology Package, premium sound system, etc.

The Toyota Tacoma has small rear seats. However, the 2024 Ford Ranger Crew Cab has a lot of capacity and is pretty spacious. The Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon are identical twins, while the GMC Canyon reveals grandeur in the top-tier Denali option. Both vehicles are roomy. However, Ranger, followed by the GM twins and Toyota Tacoma, has the highest load capacity at 43.3 cu ft in the base edition. A standard 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen using the SYNC 3 interface is anticipated for the 2024 Ford Ranger. The SYNC interface is renowned for its ease of use and apparent menu accessibility. Additionally, it will come standard with Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and FordPass Connect, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot.

Engine

A 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque powers the 2024 Ford Ranger. Rear-wheel drive and 10-speed automatic information are standard; a four-wheel-drive system is an option. Even while towing or carrying, the Ranger can accelerate confidently off the line and up to speed thanks to this engine’s smooth operation and ability to generate most of its torque at lower rpm. Seven seconds are needed to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. Although the transmission tends to lag when downshifting, which weakens the truck’s otherwise potent passing power, upshifts are often smooth and prompt.

Vehicles with a body-on-frame aren’t typically recognized for being courteous on the road. But the Ford Ranger outperforms them all when it comes to steering. The Ranger is relatively simple to handle and park in confined spaces and features a snappy and well-weighted steering system. Although larger bumps can jitter and jerk the vehicle, its tight suspension offers a solid but pleasant ride on most road surfaces while minimizing body lean and sway during corners. The brakes provide refined stopping power. Overall, the Ranger has a smooth ride and good handling. The Ford Ranger scores an impressive EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the interstate for a little pickup truck. When coupled with four-wheel drive, gas consumption drops to 20/24 mpg city/highway and drops even lower to 19 mpg city/highway for cars with the Tremor package.

2024 Ford Ranger Date and Price
